The primary mission for today’s scheduled launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is putting a Spanish radar imaging satellite in low Earth orbit — but it’s the secondary missions that are really interesting. Riding along with Hisdesat’s Paz spacecraft are the first two prototypes for what’s eventually expected to become a SpaceX constellation of thousands of satellites, designed to provide low-cost broadband internet service from low Earth orbit.
